Portfolio – Web

My first job after college involved writing content for a real estate website. Not monumental, unless you consider the fact that at the time I couldn’t wield a mouse – a computer mouse, that is. Within months, I had written all of forty pages of content for a large real estate portal. The part-time job became a full-time job. I got my first email account – Hotmail – and my second – Rocketmail.

Since then, the Internet has been my constant career partner – through jobs in user experience (Planetasia), online journalism (Rediff.com) and online marketing and corporate blogging (Infosys).

For most of the last twelve years, I have been an online communications consultant for that excellent rock band from India, Thermal And A Quarter. As the musicians will tell you, I was instrumental in shaping the band’s original voice, setting up the blog at taaq.in and managing promotions including the release of its third studio album Plan B by means of a two-month online promotion.

For the better part of the last four years, I have worked with Infosys, India’s second-largest software services company, as Head of Online Content. My team introduced the story approach to content, a departure from brochure-ware. We integrated Infosys’ blogs tightly into the content mosaic, and introduced a research service to enable bloggers to have the latest developments in online media and the blogosphere at their fingertips.
